Set confusion, .25/.50
Pretty new to Pot Limit Omaha so this hand could be really misplayed. I lost the hand history but I remember the details well. Been reading some old posts, so hopefully I can be less of an amateur and can have more thoughts on my thought process in the future.
Stars 25/50 cent...I have a full stack of $50 and villain covers slightly. He seems limpy and not too aggressive postflop. I am interested on the benefits of leading or check/calling this flop. In a game like PL Omaha I'm pretty sure check raising OOP here is just awful. It is a damn drawy board and I guess with the obvious possibility that he flopped the straight I don't necessarily want to play a big pot here. I was trying to control the size of the pot and praying for a board pair. Maybe I played it too weakly. Anyway, 6 max...UTG folds, MP calls, CO folds, button calls, SB completes and I check (7c 7h 2h Kd) Flop: 6s 7d 10s (pot:$2) SB Checks, I lead for $1.50 (thoughts on bet size/the lead), MP raises to $4, button folds, SB folds, hero calls $2.50 Turn: (Pot: $10) 2s I check...Villain bets $7, I call River: Qd (Pot: $24) I check, villain bets $18, hero folds. Also, another question... if I were to boat up here I am assuming this is boring but I should bet around $15? Is the turn usually a call? |

Re: Set confusion, .25/.50
Pot flop, rest looks ok. If he bets pot on the turn c/f'ing is preferable imo.
