BB is a LAG 51/36/3.2. He loves to get tricky with all kind of draws. But he's not an idiot or SD-bound (WTSD 37)

I think you have to reraise flop or turn, if not both. Your hand is good way to often not to raise, much less give both the free card and free showdown. You have the absolute nuts on the river and will get paid off liberally with the way you played it.

I'd bet river, fold to a c/r. I like the turn value check even if it didn't work this time.

Hero has an extremely vulnerable hand that figures to be best on a 2 flush board with straight draw possibilities. We have no idea what a safe card is.
Why would this be a value check? |

Well, what I'm thinking is that we cannot call down a turn c/r and it's likely given that villain is aggro that he will bet river with a worse hand if we check turn. Also, I don't see him folding almost any hand if we bet turn. I think he A) has a draw which he wants to c/r ("he loves to get tricky with all kind of draws") or B) Wants to SD his A high and will not fold to a turn bet.
On river, in case of A) we can collect a bet if he bluffs his missed draw. B) Bet if checked to, fold to a raise. |

So we don't bet turn because he wants to raise a worse hand in which case we have to fold? Or he'll call with ace high? These seem like arguments for betting. What am I missing? He's a donk let him raise.

Good job nailing that flop. Now get some money in there. The BB will think you're FOS on this board and will often continue to bluff even after being raised on the flop. He'll also call down very thin.

Wow, I'm going to think about this since it's obvious that I'm wrong. Just for the record, do we call down a turn c/r? Then what rivers are we folding? Just the 9's?
