Default (1/2) Middle Pair on the flop

I tend to use this line a lot if there isn't a big pot preflop. Should I save this play for villains that I know to be more aggressive than usual? Thoughts?

I donīt like the calldown from the start without any reads. What is UTG+1 limping in? Is he a donk who limps in with any Ax or is he only doing this with small PP?
Depending on reads, I would lead the flop or more often checkraise here, lead the turn and c/c the river if no resistance appears.

I dont think that you can rely upon the flop being bet by someone else to make attempting a check raise worthwhile.

I would also bet the river.
