Address Verification Process at FullTilt is Awesome
This is a very frustrating string of emails I've gotten from Fulltilt. The first message as at the bottom, the top is the newest. I don't really understand how they're not equipped to handle 100kb jpeg files. I don't think I can send a scanned credit card statement much smaller than this. (my replies are bolded)
Hello Charles, Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. This is to confirm that we have received copies of your documents however, the file size was still too large. Our system generally truncates files after a certain file size. This caused half of your documents to be cut off. In order to verify your age and identity, we will need you to resend these documents. Please ensure that when you fax or scan the document to use the highest possible resolution so that it remains clear. We require that players send us the whole document and not have anything covered or cut off. This is to ensure the reliability of the documents. We ask you to be sure to send the entire document, stubs or fronts of mail envelopes, will not be sufficient. Before you resend the information, please double-check to make sure that the documents are formatted such that we are able to read all letters and numbers. If we receive illegible documents, we will be unable to use them and would have to ask you to send the information again. Scans generally produce a higher success rate for verification as the photo quality is much higher. If you choose to fax, please take advantage of the contrast setting most fax machines have. Setting the contrast higher generally diminishes the darkness of the photo which results in a lighter and clearer photo when faxed. Once again, you may e-mail us a scanned copy of your information or fax these documents to 1-877-TILT-FAX (1-877-845-8329). Remember to include the reason why you're sending in your ID, your Full Tilt Poker player ID, and your real name on the fax to expedite the processing of your documents. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. The 2 files I'm sending are 108kb and 141kb. You will have to let me know if I need to make them smaller than this, and if so how small. Thanks. We understand people change their living addresses, however as stated in our previous email we require a piece of official documentation with the address on your account. If you are at school, you may have tuition registration or bill that has your current address. Please review your files for a piece of official documentation that has the same address. If you have a digital camera, that would be an easy way to capture and send in your identification. Also, using 'Paint' (if you are a PC user), you should be able to resize your images within a minute or so. Here's how: - Right-click the file you wish to send and select 'Edit' - Once the image has opened in 'Paint', hit [ctrl W] - Type a smaller percentage into the top two boxes (make sure they're the same number) and click [OK] - Save the image an attach the newly resized version to your emailed reply to us. Before you resend the information, please double-check to make sure that the documents are formatted such that we are able to read all letters and numbers. The address on the license isn't current, since it would be impractical to update it while in college (since I'll only live in the same place for a short time). Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do. Thank You Charles |

Re: Address Verification Process at FullTilt is Awesome
lol something's very broken if they can't accept 100kb jpgs.. I sent in my address stuff to FTP a couple months ago and my files were far larger than that (probably >1mb, I don't remember).

[censored] I HATE FULLTILT:
Seriously...100kb jpegs are too big??? Hello Charles, Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. As previously stated, our system generally truncates files after a certain file size. This caused half of your document to be cut off, therefore, making it illegible. Please keep in mind that you may also do this by using a digital camera and uploading the image to your computer. If you do choose this method, please be sure that the flash is not in a position to compromise the quality of the photo. If you choose to fax, please take advantage of the contrast setting most fax machines have. Setting the contrast higher generally diminishes the darkness of the photo which results in a lighter and clearer photo when faxed. Once again, you may e-mail us a scanned copy of your information or fax these documents to 1-877-TILT-FAX (1-877-845-8329); however, we highly recommend emailing in scanned copies, as we have a much higher success rate receiving documents in this way. Remember to once again include the reason why you're sending in your ID, your Full Tilt Poker player ID, and your real name on the fax to expedite the processing of your documents. We most definitely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we look forward to hearing back from you. Regards, Loreen Full Tilt Poker Support |

Seriously...100kb jpegs are too big??? [/ QUOTE ] Thats simply ridiculous... I am always amazed at how a company that pulls down as much as they do per month can screw up something so simple. Is it really going to affect their day to day business if attachments are upped to 500k? Less complaints and higher quality scans, seems like a no brainer. |
