Default $4.40 Stars AA hand - chiplead

I was wondering if I should have raised more preflop with this hand, and maybe more/less on the flop? I was afraid of the flop so I bet enough to scare the draws out (I tried).

Yes, raise more preflop. I'd make it 1000-1200.

You only bet 1/3 of the pot on the flop. That's not scaring anyone.

you gotta raise a lot more PF... he just min bet UTG... he will probably call a 1500 raise (although i would raise to 1000-1200). Based on their stack sizes left, i just push it all in

I think the pre-flop re-raise was within an acceptable range, though I would have probably made it more like 600-800 to make the odds worse for the original callers and to discourage a multi-way pot.

On the flop, I would bet 40-60% of the pot, so I think your bet was a little low.

Edit: After looking at other posts, I'm changing my post. The preflop re-raise was too low, and not "within acceptable range." You allowed the possibility that it would be ~3:1 back to original callers, which is too high. I would like it to be less than 2:1 back to the original callers, so I would re-raise at least 800, and probably more like 1000.
