Default Here\'s a fold I hate to make

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.70 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.70 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 7.70 BB

Little bit lost vs a 40/10/1.5, my note says 'peels flops folds turns', but that doesn't really help here

Any ideas?

Once I get to the river, I probably call again, hoping for 99/88. Or, if Villain was donking the flop with ace-high, then it could be AQ instead of AK.

I'm not all that optimistic while I'm calling, though.

This is a very tricky situation to be in.

I usually raise flop, check turn see the river. When he donks here he usually has a pair and with those stats is often going to showdown. I really doubt you can be scared of him 3-betting a worse hand on that flop.

What's with the recommendations on this line tonight? It's almost never correct with a hand like TT.

Just read my post surprised I even typed that, must be sleep drunk.

Just thinking about it, what do you think his range is to bet that flop?

I don't know. I don't know how 40/1.5 players think or how they play. I think I know how Tags, Lags, LP fish, and maniacs think and play, but not these guys.

I agree that he probably won't 3bet with a worse hand. He also isn't bluff checkraising the turn. I think raise flop, bet turn, check river is ok. I don't mind calling every street either. I don't think OP's line is terrible, but I don't really trust this player enough to be smart enough to give up on his futile river bluff when we are "obviously" calling down.
