Default Kings face a push

Villain is a 23/16/3 player. In a previous hand I opened 66 in MP he cold called next to act and we checked down a crappy board where he showed down 55.

Effective stacks are $31.70

I open in MP w/KK for $1, villain calls next to act, button folds, sb calls, bb folds.

flop is 868 with 2 spades
sb checks, I bet $2.25, and villain pushes...wtf

my thoughts are that he saw how passive I was HU with a bad hand on a bad board so he may be hoping I have the hand I have or he can have 2 overs with a flush draw. I put more weight towards 2 overs and a flush draw or 97ss than an 8 but it's certainly possible.

I fold. 66, A8s, 78s, are all a big part of villains range. Depends though on whether you think villain will play overpairs like 99-QQ like this.
