Disclaimer: I am not trying to pretend or claim i am any good at investing. I'd say of the people who post on this forum, I am in the bottom 15% of posters in terms of knowledge. There are some incredibly good posters here.

Anyways, so here are my results since i started share purchasing. This hopefully shows that sometimes you have to stick with what you believe and not sell when you hit a bad run (i sold a load during the market correction):


sab miller: bought at 1074p 11th dec - sold at 1184p 2nd jan due to thinking it was then correctly valued. currently at 1130p(ish). result: 10% rise in 1 month. my only short term buy.
parygaming: bought at 27p 11th dec. currently at 55.25p. result: 104% rise in a bit over 5 months.

888: bought at 132p 9th jan currently at 126.5p. result: -9.5% in 4.5 months.
sportingbet: bought at 44.5p 9th jan currently at 61.5p. result: 38% rise in 4.5 months
playtech: bought at 276p 9th jan currently at 377p. result:37% rise in 4.5 months

urasia: bought at 305p 12th feb (so should have been 275p, announcement came just before opening) currently 353p result: 16% rise in 3 months
strateco: bought at 290 canadian cents 12th feb. currently at 355cents. result: 22% rise in 3 months
uramin: bought at 265p 12th feb. currently at 289.5. result: 9% rise in 3 months.

also, my emerging markets fund is 7% so far in 4 months.

out of those 8 share picks, the average being up 28.3%. pretty good. yet im only up 11.6%. becuase i am that good at buying high and selling low.

also big thanks to missmisery and gonebroke about uranium, that was entirely there advice, i can take 0% credit.

yeah nice dartboard for sure. think ill buy it as well, looks a bit pimping.

dazaf69, i cost myself so much due to the correction. fortunately i didnt sell all my positions, only generally 50-60%.

but i sold right at the lowest, no jokes, within 0.5p-1p of 3 different holdings i sold at their low: party (32p), uramin (191p) and 888 (92p or so). so sick, but at least still made some cash.

as for the 2+2 portfolio, ive been updating it every week, forgot to do it the past couple of days, ill do it now.
