Default TD 2-7- 268 From the CO

Raising 268 on the co is standard for me. But the amount of times I get into trouble with it there makes me think I may need to tighten up a little further.

If the remaing players are all loose then it seems like a clear fold, since I dont want to get involved in a multiway pot w/ 268. If they are tight/solid then I may take the blinds or get it heads up with position, but then I will probably have an inferior hand. What if the button is particularly loose and calls with all sorts of trash?
Thoughts?

And what about 278 on the button?

I'd much rather raise 268 in CO against loose players than tight, cuz the tighties will probably 3bet you with the goods and the loose ones will call with their 345xx crap and youll have position on the blinds.

I hate 278, if Im feeling frisky Ill attempt to steal the blinds otherwise pass.

Im completely wasted so my opinion on this may change by tommorrow afternoon.

I open 268 from CO and 278 from button 100% of the time, but I'm a big fan of playing as loosely as I can get away with. Playing hands is fun, folding is boring.

Thats the paradox though- if you're in a multiway pot against loose players then your involved with a hand that doesn't want that kind of action. And the tight players are going to punish you. Seems like the prudent thing may just be to fold, especially if the game is good and you can find easier spots.

268 in cutoff and 287 on button are 100% open raises all day no question about it. 86s win far more than they lose in HU or 3-way pots and 287 knowing you will have position against two blinds with random hands is a good spot.
