Default What movies are you looking forward to?

Did this a while back. Now that we're approaching summer, a good time to start thinking big movies:

Here are some upcoming movies (mainly just listing the blockbuster movies here - go to Yahoo! Upcoming Movies or RottenTomatoes.com for much longer lists)

March 16, 2007 - Shooter
March 30, 2007 - TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
March 30, 2007 - Blades of Glory
April 6, 2007 - Grindhouse
April 13, 2007 - Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theatres
May 4, 2007 - Spider-Man 3
May 11, 2007 - 28 Weeks Later
May 18, 2007 - Shrek the Third
May 25, 2007 - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
June 8, 2007 - Ocean's Thirteen
June 8, 2007 - Hostel: Part II
June 15, 2007 - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
June 29, 2007 - Live Free or Die Hard
July 4, 2007 - Transformers
July 13, 2007 - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
July 27, 2007 - The Simpsons Movie
August 3, 2007 - The Bourne Ultimatum

The bolded ones are the ones I'm most interested in seeing. I'm excited about The Bourne Ultimatum, 28 Weeks Later, and Spider-Man 3. I'm hopeful that Live Free or Die Hard and Oceans Eleven will be good, but they probably won't be. The rest I think there's a good chance will suck, especially Fantastic Four, since the first one was so abysmal. I actually probably won't see that one. I wasn't interested in Grindhouse at first, but after seeing some previews I'm kinda interested now.

ATHF's production company is having some big problems, potentially shutting down, so there might be some delays in that film actually making it to theaters (if at all).

When I first heard about the CGI-animated TMNT, I was super-pumped and wanted to see it. Thought it was gonna be darker and geared towards nerdy mid-twenties guys like myself. Then I saw the preview. Oh man is this gonna suck.

Transformers is going to be the best thing ever hopefully. Will definitely see.

I probably won't bother with Oceans 13, especially since 12 kinda sucked IMO. If it comes on HBO in a year or so I might check it out.

Interesting. I'm the exact opposite. I really wanted to see it when I first heard about it. Then I saw Rose McGowan shooting the place up with her pegleg and thought it looked absolutely retarded.

C,

I actually don't really disagree with you. By "interested" I'm really meaning more of a "WTF?" way than a "this will be awesome" way, if that makes sense. Basically, the previews have me at least more curious than I was before.

Grindhouse is looking pretty awesome. But, it turns out they may have to make some last second cuts to avoid an NC-17 rating.

I just recently heard about this movie Paprika Looks like a pretty good anime. I don't know exactly when it's being released but the trailer looks good, check it out.

This is the big one for me, for multiple reasons. Back in my comic book days, the Venom Saga was the coolest thing ever. I can only hope they do it justice in the movie. But more importantly, my 5-year-old nephew is ridiculously amped about this movie. He makes my brother-in-law show him the trailer at least 3 times a week, he talks about it constantly, and he re-watches the Venom Saga cartoon DVDs religiously. I am more looking forward to watching him watch the movie than watching it myself.

I am holding very high expectations for Transformers as well.

I hope they do the symbiote, Venom, Carnage trilogy justice. I doubt they will, since Spider Man aquired the black suit during Secret Wars 1 in outer space.

I hope they do a good job with the Fantastic Four, however I doubt they will.

"May 11, 2007 - 28 Weeks Later"

Is this the sequel to 28 Days Later? If so that's awesome because that movie was great.
