Default Uncapped 5/10 @ Wynn

The following is a hand from a 5/10 ring game at Wynn. I wonder if anyone disagrees with the hero's play preflop/on the flop/turn/river.

Hero ($2,200): small blind with pocket 4s.

A player limps in late position. Hero calls. The villain (young local pro/regular, over $5,000) makes it $40 more out of the big blind. Limper folds. Hero calls.

Flop: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero checks. Villain makes a weak bet of $40. Hero calls.

Turn K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero checks. Villain checks.

River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero checks. Villain bets $140. Hero raises to $500 total.

The hero had tried to make a small bluff against the villain and got called 10 minutes prior, and now trying to get the maximum value out of the flopped full house.

I will post the hand result later.

I take it you checked the turn with the intention of raising? If so then you played it ok if you read him as weak on the flop (if you thought he was strong and or had a pair over the board on the flop, you could have led the flop and built a big one). Anyway, as it played out, it looks like he backed into a king (unless hes a very strong player. You said hes a young local pro. Happen to remember who it was?).

has he made quads or something?
The fact you posting this hand + this so weak and tricky 40 bet on the flop.Well yeah thats very unlikely, but if he is a pro and is weak on the river I am sure he folds since call/check/raise smells like a big hand.I guess he even would fold AK here,in the way you discribed him.

If you have a bad image against him, why not just c/r the flop?

You just got caught bluffing and he plays this hand basically begging you to bluff except you have a made hand. RAISE RAISE RAISE flop, it will look like a bluff and you'll get paid off.
