I'd probably bet the flop

river... yeah I push, don't see any other option here tbh. you're behind 1 rather unlikely hand, and he's likely to call a push with a lot of worse hands

It seems to me a raise of any other amount looks even stronger than a shove given his stack depth, not that the shove doesn't look strong enough.

I jam.

i'm asking if just calling is an option. i won't raise/fold to a shove. we're deep, i overbet the river and he still raised. he's loose and passive so this is never a bluff and always for value. there's only one hand that beats me, it's unlikely but i can't rule out him calling with a gutshot (especially if it was clubs). it's kind of dependent on a read which is why i hesitated to even post this but the raise of my overbet while deep from a passive player just screams so much strength i think a call is worth considering?

I think arguments for calling can be made here. Most players are just going to call with a set (or 2 pair) on that river due to the overbet. Since he is passive I cannot see him doing this with many hands other than 89.

I find it hard to believe that villian is going to call our shove often enough with a worse hand. Even a really bad player is going to notice there is atleast one straight possibility out there.
