a new line for me w/ the 3\'rd nuts
villain is laggish, and a winner in the game to the best of my knowledge. he views me as tight and probably a little on the weak side although i've just been card dead for the 20 or so hours we've played together. ive never gotten out of line, but he has a few times. i think its pretty apparent to him at this point i'm not going to play a huge pot without a nut hand.
i get moved from the must move to the main game, and i've never played with UTG+1 before so I limp 10-10 after he limps UTG+1. Villain limps in UTG+2. Stacks are $1700. Flop J-10-7 rb UTG+1 bets $35, I call, Villain calls, blinds fold. Turn 7 UTG+1 checks, I bet $50, villain raises to $175, UTG+1 folds, I call. River 4 I lead for $400. I wanted to make a bet that a seven would have to pay off. It felt like my hand was pretty transparent, and I felt like the majority of his range was a naked seven, so after I call the turn I cant see him betting for value on the river. Thoughts? |

Re: a new line for me w/ the 3\'rd nuts
i don't think your hand is transparent on the turn at all. the river is pretty strong, i'd rather fake block with something like $150 or go for a checkraise. probably a fake block with your image.

[/ QUOTE ] that sounds pretty good. never considered it. probably induces a raise enough for it to be the best line. |
