The Borgata has recently installed a craps table right adjacent to the poker waiting area. Previously, this pit was full of games I was not at all tempted to play, such as Crazy Four Poker, and I suspect I'm not alone in this regard. This is going to be significantly +EV for Borgata and -EV for me.

I play the $5 Texas Hold'em Bonus out there when I am grinding out free drinks..pretty low house edge.

this is such bad news for me. especially if it's a $5 or $10 table all the time.

Now I won't have to spend half my tourney breaks walking across the floor to get to the dice table.

[ QUOTE ]
heres some good advice, stay out of the pits. [/ QUOTE ] It's remarkably easy to avoid the pits at the Borgata while playing poker. On many occasions I have parked in the open lot, played poker, eaten in the downstairs cafeteria, and left without even coming close to the pits. It sounds as if Borg management wants to provide a little temptation to otherwise savvy gamblers. |

According to one of the dealers and one fo the floor people, the craps table was put there purposely to draw the poker winners into a house game. Wise move, I think.

That location is pure genius. After driving close to 2 hours to get there on Saturday, I needed about an hour of the Hold'em Table Game to decompress before heading into the poker room.
edit -- Isn't the entrance to the new hot nightclub at teh end of the row? Seems like those tables could draw a lot of action. |

This is a little self promotion, I guess. I recently wrote about this in my AC poker blog, which right now isn't very exciting. I only started it about a month ago.
But I need an outlet to write about poker since the newspaper I work for won't let. Go figure, the Atlantic City newspaper doesn't think poker belongs in the sports section. http://pokerinac.blogspot.com/2007/08/crap-out.html |
