Default Stars stuper hand vs annette15 and number1pen

Early in stars stuper, blinds 25/50.

I've seen annette makes all kinds of open raises, though i think this shallow her range is much shorter. Everyone in the hand hasn't been splashing around or getting out of line.

My stack: 1500
Annette15: 1800
number1pen: 2200

Preflop: folds to A15 in MP2, A15 raises to 150, hero is in hijack and raises to 400, folds to N1P in SB who min raises to 700, folds to A15 who folds, hero?

What do you do with:
JJ?
QQ?
KK?
AKs

#1Pen is pretty solid isn't he? Does he know you're good? I would hate to be leveled here, since this looks like _such_ a strong hand from him. But if he knows that you know, it doesn't need to be...but without knowing this (which is going to take some solid read), I put him on JJ+ (I doubt AK does this too much, but he might be planning a SNG here). Given that range:

JJ - puke and fold.

QQ - probably push it in (I'm not folding after putting in half my stack).

KK - push it in - can't possibly see him folding with the giant odds he'll be getting.

AKs - you're getting 1.8:1 here (I'm assuming his minraise = all-in here, since he'll call a push 99% of the time), AKs is 1.6:1 vs JJ+. Vs QQ+ it's 1.9:1...so this is very close.

All these answers are really dependent on his range - if it's QQ+ instead, the QQ is a fold as well, KK is still a push and AKs is probably a thin thin fold.

Very nice hand to post Bond!

I don't think this early in the tournament he would get fancy and try to level me with a strange play.

Yeah probably not.

This is godawful close. I'm inclined to say his range is more towards QQ+ than JJ+ really, making all but the KK folds...

AK/JJ - fold (although it would have been a call if he had shoved)
QQ - close fold
KK - instacall

Any particular reason you don't push with KK? He's getting 4:1 and I can't see he will possibly lay it down here with anything he minraised with. I can't see us laying the hand down ever either.

I'm guesing cornell figured he'd put us all in, that or hes hoping annette will come along as well.

I gotta start proofreading my posts.

No higher level logic from me on this one, just a typo. I push with KK not call.

These minraise hands are all gross Bond. I am definitely going to start minraising against thinking players when I have AKo or JJ that I am willing to go all in with.

If he just shoved, you'd be getting 1.9:1 to call.

If his range is JJ+/AK, JJ is a solid call, but if it's just JJ+/AKs or just JJ+, then it's an awful call. So, JJ is a fold I think.

AKo is a good call even if his range is just JJ+ and only marginally bad if it's QQ+, so call.

Fold JJ, shove the rest.
