Default Disconnection/all-in Protection

I'm a bit angry of the apparent abuse possibility with the subject. Do you think the disconnection/all-in protection is for good or not? Maybe you and I can use the poll results to affect the sites to change their policy. My opinion is that disconnection all-in protections should be taken off in both cash games and tournaments. In the long run everyone experiences the disconnections and so the bottom line will be even without the protections. If the protections are allowed, certain players abuse them and honest players suffer.

Most sites have banks (where you only have a certain number of DPs). Also, you can always report abuse.

How would you use that as an advantage? I'm curious.

Default Get rid of protections, and here is why.

You are much more likely to see people abuse and getting hurt by the disconnect protection than actually getting helped by it yourself.

If you have a bad connection you shouldn't be playing in the first place, right? At least not in limits where you can't afford to lose one pot in case of disconnection.

The likelihood that you're entangled in a big pot when you loose your connection is quite small unless you play more than 24 6max tables at once.
