Question about multi-tabling tools
I'm a noob when it comes to online poker enhanced software tools, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.
I was sitting in a .50/1 NL ring game on Stars today... a fellow sat down and played a dozen or so hands looking very loose/aggressive, but doing well with it. Then he rivered me for a nice pot, and I left since I had something else to do anyway. Some minutes later I decided to come back but the table was full, so I looked to see if he was elsewhere and saw he was on like 10 similar tables. I visited a few, and I noticed that on all, he was very, very prompt with his actions. Much moreso than I have ever seen from someone I knew to be multi-tabling. I can't see how somebody on 10 tables could possibly be as prompt with their actions as he was. I am not a pro, and play more for the fun than for the money (which is good since I don't seem to be able to do much better than break even), and I prefer not to bring technology into MY game, but I like to have a general sense of what kind of technology I am facing. Having said all that, is there some sort of tool that somebody on stars might be using that allows them to enhance their multi-table decision making to speed it up like that? If I am playing "natural" and everyone else has some HUD suggesting their moves, or even making them for them, I think I might just find something else to do. |

Re: Question about multi-tabling tools
Well some of these guys multitable 24/7 so they get pretty quick. I wouldn't let it worry you. Just play your game.

Re: Question about multi-tabling tools
the easiest way to make multitabling easier is by using the bet pot script wich makes betting very quick and easy, there are many other scripts that can help people multi table here

If I am playing "natural" [/ QUOTE ] I tried this once & ended up with quite a nasty rash. Lurk through the software forum on this site, to get an idea what these crazy 10 tablers use to make their uber quick decisions. |

Re: Question about multi-tabling tools
I don't know Tuff Fish... and I didn't mean to imply criticism of multi-tablers, I really don't have a problem with them. It's just not something I am interested in focusing on for my own play. Like I said, I play mostly for my own enjoyment.
Actually, I figure a guy dividing his attention might be surrendering enough of the advantage he gets from all his tools that it might be a wash. I was just startled to see this guy making nearly instant decisions on 10 tables. Maybe he's a savant. But if these scripts have evolved to the point that they are so configurable that I might as way be playing a bot, the multitabler might not have to divide his attention so much, and a "natural" player (no chafing, I sit on a towel <G> is walking into a negative situation. |

Re: Question about multi-tabling tools
The players arent bots, every decision they make is conscious.
This isnt really all that unusual either. Just practice 1 table until you're bored. And then 2 tables... And up and up. Eventually the only thing holding you back is how fast you can move your mouse. For most players that peaks at about 8-12. |
