Re: Careful! Mental terrorism in Estonia!
A little digging revealed that, apparently, Estonia is going through an internal debate about public monuments glorifying the "liberation" of Estonia from Nazi Germany by Communist troops (both domestic and Russian.) Some argue that the monuments should stand as tribute to the fallen Estonians who were killed defending their country from the Nazis, while others see them as primarily glorifying the 50-year Soviet occupation. This wikipedia entry sheds some light on the situation.
Interestingly, Libertarian activist Nick Wilson recently compiled a "State of the World Liberty Project" report naming Estonia the freest nation in the world. |

Rain on the Bronze Soldier
None of the three Baltic nations has yet come clean about their part in Nazi crimes during World War II.
They have quite a few skeletons under the rug. |
