Default Free Card or find a bet?

I figured the turn hit a lot of his "peel range", so I believed my FE to be very, very small. If I had AJ, I would bet and take the free SD since AJ high obviously has more SD strength than KJ. Plus, I didn't want to risk getting check-raised.

Still, I regret not finding another bet here.

This is read dependent.

If you think his peel range smooked it, then the free card is good.

I agree with your comments about the free SD bet with AJ.

Most of the time though, I 'hope' this is still an overcard peel, (A6 or something), and fire once more. Read dependent, of course. I try to take notes on flop peeling tendencies of the villains, as well as their propensity to c/r turns, which kinda sucks for us in this hand.

If there are alot of peelers in your games I'd fire one more on the turn to make sure those peelers don't bluff me out, and maybe give ace high a chance to fold.

No. I think he has very little fold equity when that 9 drops. Any hand with a J or 7 is calling the turn. As is any hand with a T or a 9 or even an 8. Or two diamonds. And if there is an ace-high out there that will call the turn too, he's still behind.

I think this play is perfectly standard.

Why are you worried about getting called by any J or any 7.

We beat most of those hands.

Obv pairs are calling, most of them. Some players will fold bottom pair here, even the 8.

It's good.

Are you really saying "some" players won't fold a 54o here?

I realize it's not the majority, mind you.

The rest of my posts makes more sense. Maybe.
