What advice can you give me to take down the office football pool?
Weekly and for the season, for total wins against the spread?

Don't miss any weeks.
Try and make winning picks just as you would if you were betting games(ie handicap the games and bet the side that is best). For the season, pay attention to where you stand and if you can, make your picks different from those ahead of you. If you are in the lead, try and pick the same as everyone else. For each week, try and find out who people like and take the other side. I guess it's more important to have a different side then others then it is to have the right side cause you would rather win a prize by yourself 45% of the time then split the same prize 55% of the time. |

Re: What advice can you give me to take down the office football pool?
i've never done this, but i'm thinking about it this year..
i've never gone over 50% picking every game against the spread in any yearly pick 'em poll.. sooo...early in the week, make your picks, and friday before you turn them in, fill in all of the opposite teams.. duh. i'm only half-joking...every week when i go 4-10 against the spread in a poll, i think i should've done this... |
