French Lick cutting poker room in half

Notice for Central IN players who don't like the drive down to Caesar's: Starting tomorrow, the 14-table poker room will be cut to 7 tables, to make room for the West Baden Senior Center, um, I mean slot machines.

The old rumor had been that they were going to switch the poker and high-limit table games, which would have at least allowed 8-10 tables; but no, that's no longer the case.

I don't know how this will affect their tournaments, which sometimes got up to 100 entrants; maybe it's the start of a gradual phaseout. In any case, I foresee a lot more driving in my future [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]
