How to deal with mainiacs flipping at your table
in a normal scenario id be getting it in like any ace any pair, but im in a bit of a tight spot. I really am underolled for 25$ NL (300$) but am a winning 25$ NL player, so im trying to get into it, and if i dont then i just move back down after a couple buyins, kind of a calculated risk deal.
The table stacks have gotten so large its making me really nervous. These are the current stacks. Leniu is at seat 0 with $293.65. ICantBeatLUCK is at seat 1 with $65.28. Hero is at seat 2 with $71.89. dR MaLiCiouS is at seat 3 with $38.55. nilloc1204 is at seat 4 with $52.64. FrumpyCarter is at seat 5 with $101.95. The bottom 2 have been doing crazy flipping, and dr has made a lot of borderline plays. The other 2 are solid players. The guy with 300$ just keeps saying "Wow sick beat" and "Very nicely played" after every hand. The fish say like "F*** You" and hes like yeah sorry man bad beat. How to play here? Make any play that is +ev? Wait for monsters? I dont know ive never been in this situation before and i feel i need to capitilze. |

If not I play very low variance poker and hopefully the rakeback catches me up to a full 20 buyins before I go busto. I think with 12 buyins I would not be too worried. With 8 or less I would just play very solid hands. With less than 6-5 buyins I might consider short stacking to try to get it all in with AA-TT type hands. +EV |
