QQ OOP 3-way Axx flop
$50 MTT. Should I cbet the flop. Button's bet looks like a weak positional bluff or probe. Should I fold to it anyway?

[/ QUOTE ] bleh. hate these situations with that size stack. I definitely would have led out the flop. Now it is definitely push or fold. I think i push and hope to take it right there. Button does have a little more maneuverability with his size stack, so he could be posturing with a pocket pair or weak A or just playing position. you represented strength preflop, a push may get a weak A to lay this down. The only hands we don't want to lay this down are smaller pairs. If we are committed to getting all of our chips in, then i can see check/calling on every street,trying to get value from a bluff by button, but i like the little bit of FE that you have with C/R at the flop over this line. A weak A is not going to be convinced you have an A if you check/call all the way thru. still not sold on the correct line here. lead the flop and if your raised, let it go. |
