Re: Video: Back to the Future car mod in GTA: Vice City for the PC
Nice. A real licensed Back to the Future game with a GTA-like engine is such a no-brainer.
- You have the locations already largely mapped out - Hill Valley in 1885, 1955, 1985, and 2015. Throw some more in if you want. - Most of the gameplay mechanics should be obvious. You start off with the DeLorean. When you need to travel through time, you have to get plutonium (which will be scarce and difficult to get) and also find a stretch of road where you can cleanly get up to 88. The search for road could be a big part of many "missions". - Eventually you get the Mr. Fusion and hover mods, making your life easier. - If technically feasible the game could record some of your actions, causing problems as you have to avoid your "other self". - Hoverboards. Man it's so easy... |

There are like 900 movie or TV shows that can be made into GTA style games and be done well if only someone would try with some effort.

Getting back to this...

[/ QUOTE ] I've thought about it for years actually. Yea 4 High there are a lot of licenses that could be awesome as GTA style games, but BTTF fits particularly beautifully because of the car/88 MPH and the same locations in multiple time periods. I might start a thread just dreaming up good licenses and how they'd translate. |
