I'd prefer making a blocking bet on the river rather than check calling. It's probably best to check/fold though in this case. Sometimes you will get a free showdown and win.

I don't like check/calling unless villian is prone to bluffing. I said I would check fold, but I'm throwing out the blocking bet as an alternative option.

That's a good point about betting into a multiway pot here and villian just calling. I suppose he could have air but it's hard seeing how it got there. Did he end up having the ace high flush?
