Default Stay aggressive?

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

River: (4.75 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 4.75 BB

The game is very loose-passive. The two players are calling the flop with almost ATC. Bet the turn here or no?

1)What's ur equity against random hands on the turn?

2)Is ur hand vulnerable and needs protection? Could a FC hurt u?

3)Will u have a difficult decission if any of the two LP players raise u?

4)On the river: Who do u think have a better hand after BTN checked last on the turn and BB refused to bet the river even though the turn was checked through.

I'm going to be honest: You played this hand poorly. You MUST value-bet aggresively to exploit that ur opps call to loose. Otherwise their strategy will be fine and u will be the one taking the worse of it.

1. Unless I messed up, pokerstove says I have about 42% equity against random hands (excluding big PPs and high cards) on the turn.

2. Yes, my hand is vulnerable.

3. If I get raised, I am put in a tough spot.

4. I probably have the best hand on the river.

So...basically I should have bet the turn and river. And fold to any raise?

I like this plan. Against something like KJ or QJ where you do have outs, they're scared of the board too and probably won't raise. You're likely drawing dead against any hand that raises you. So bet/folding the turn gets value when ahead (from hands that are still drawing) and lets you get away against a monster.

The river I think a c/c or b/f are close, either is fine.

Bet the turn for value.

Against loose passive players it is alpha omega that you keep value betting and never/rarely bluff bet.

If you get 1 caller valubet non scary rivers

If you get 2 callers check river and reevaluate. c/c is prolly best.

NO!

Against loose passives you would have a VERY VERY easy fold. When loose passives raise you, you need to put them on 2 pair or better with 95% probability. Dont call down 2nd pair and stuff like that. Dont call 1 pair hands when there are a lot of flushes and straights possible. They dont rause you a lot, but when they do they have the nuts.
