Default quads on a paired board???

if a board is paired what are the odds one has quads. I have lost to quads 3 times in 3 days. Also, what are the chances of hitting quads.

Default Re: quads on a paired board???

This is really the wrong forum--this is a probability question. It depends on the number of opponents. For example, if you are facing one opponent. You hold XY and flop is BBA. There are 47 unknown cards, so a total of C(47,2) or 1081 possible hole-card combos. There is only one "BB" combo, so it is 1/1081. If you are against 2 opponents, I think the chances are twice that (~1/500), but that's just off the top of my head.
