Lets suppose you (a decent tag) post in the CO, and I (a decent slag though taggish lately) raises utg. You call w/ KJh flop:Jx6d8d I bet, you raise, I 3bet, you call. Turn: brick I bet you call. River: Kc I bet, you raise, I 3bet, your action? Also comment on how you played the hand so far. |

Seems like standard play. I'd be tempted to four bet the river, though I'd end up just calling. Probably against AA. He thinks you have K high diamond draw.

what can you have that A) 3bets B) doesn't 5bet C) calls and D) we beat?
you can have exactly AA to call a 4bet here and you probably shouldn't. |

So we have call, raise, and fold all as options for the river. Good. I was worried that everyone would say call and no one would say raise or fold.

crying call [/ QUOTE ] True that. Also I'd consider just calling the flop and raising the turn. |

[/ QUOTE ] 4betting this river with KJ here would be simply awful, unless you are playing really bad and getting way out of line with 1 pair. i think you have a set every time. the only time you have a worse hand is that if CO is a very strong hand reader + you have a history with him where he knows you never get out of line, and thus maybe you can get him to think that you have a set and he will fold. |
