Default QQ in BB vs SB raise early in tournament

This is a home tournament, with slow moving blinds and quite a few decent players.

The buy-in was $100 for $10,000 in chips. We are in the 2nd round with blinds at $50/$100. There are 21 players in the tournament with 7 players at three tables.

Relevent Stacks in this hand
UTG ~ 10,000
MP1 ~20,000
MP2 ~ 10,000
SB ~ 2,800

I have ~$10,000

UTG and MP2 are decent, but nothing special. MP1 is a calling station of the highest order, but has caught a few hands so far. SB is pretty bad, too, though not as bad as MP1. I'd put SB's pre-flop raising range at somthing like 77+, ATo/s+.

I have QQ in the BB.

Pre-flop
UTG - call, MP1 - call, MP2 - call, SB raises to $600, leaving him with $2,200

Hero....

This might be an obvious question for someone that plays tournaments frequently. I'm curious what tournament people would do here given it is so early in the tournament.

Raise to 1600 because if someone is stupid enough to smooth call in between you will be able to reshove after SB pushes.

Because this is a home game there would most likely be a disagreement over whether the betting is reopened if SB goes all in for half of your bet... skirt the argument by allowing him to make a full raise.

I am actually amazed at how often people make raises in multiway pots with a short stack and they do not consider making a bet that allows them to reshove if the shortie shoves.

These things are the reason ISAP. That's probably not something I'd have even considered. Especially live where I only vaguely know peoples stacks. Online at least that kid of stuff is easier to calculate.

This is a great point, thanks. Something I never considered either. I definitely would not have been able to re-raise if SB went all in for less than half my bet. The "house" rule is betting is capped at that point.
