Something screams check-raise all in. There is around t600 in the pot and you've only got about t1200 behind. I figure if I am beat already by a straight (what donk limps JT) so be it, but I am going to make the draws pay. The ace could have given somebody a better two pair, but I don't think MP1 would check two-pair on this board here and I can't see AQ not raising the flop. A9/A8 don't seem that realistic either since calling a full pot bet on this flop cannot look pretty for that hand.

MP1 will fold 99% of the time (unless he is a donk on a draw) and CO's bet says he is weak and is trying to but the pot.

Bet the flop a little harder. There's only an inside straight draw, but there's a flush draw as well.

On the turn, I'd be happy getting all my chips in.

Hero bet half-pot on this flop, which I think is the problem. I'm thinking something more like 150 here, especially with the suited cards.

Pot the flop. Look to get it all in.

Pot the turn. Look to get it all in. Check raising is a viable option if you have reason to believe it'll get bet.

I bet about 125ish on the flop, and fire another 2/3 pot bet at the turn. Now that you've checked and he's done you the favour of putting some money in I'd just push.

i check raised all in. mp1 called. he had the jt and flopped the straight.

1) why do you guys ignore the straight possibility?

2) if it was a monotone board, do you still play it the same way and ignore someone with a possible flush?

You would be insane to checkraise all in on a
A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] board ... come on.

You'll fill up often enough when they have the straight to make it worth it.

(%)they don't have the straight + (%)they have the striaght((%)you fill up + (%)you don't) = good
