NL$200| AQ (TPTK), unexpected river re-raise
Table is Full Tilt 6-max (5 seated) NL$1/2
Villain is 33/20/4.5 (360) I'm playing around 19/16/3 on this table. I have $209, villain covers. Sorry for the manual history on this occasion: UTG raises to $7, all fold to hero on BB with AhQs. Hero calls I call here because I'm ahead of villains range but he's far too volatile to play OOP in 3-bet pots Flop 9c,Qh,9s Hero checks, UTG bets $8, hero calls. Turn 7h Hero checks, UTG checks I was going for a check-raise for value here since villain would call it with QK/QJ and possibly under-pairs River 6h Hero bets $20 UTG raises to $90 Hero????? |

call. Your hand is so underrepped, you have the A of hearts which decreases the odds of him having a flush.'
I 3bet preflop |

Id prolly fold. I dont think your hand is that underepped. Pretty obv you have a Q. You could easily have a 9 to. If he picked up a draw on turn alot of them got there an i think hes more likely to 2nd barrel than check an then raise river if he has air.

Re: NL$200| AQ (TPTK), unexpected river re-raise
I figured he'd check the turn to pull down a free draw and thus his raise was for value far more than it was a bluff.
I folded. |

Re: NL$200| AQ (TPTK), unexpected river re-raise
Every time this happens to me villain has backdoored a flush. Gotta fold this. You're looking at a flush, boat or trips.
Also, don't ever check raise this river. Worse queens may not call, but every hand that beats you will. |

Yeah, I'd never c-r here - although against this particular opponent he'd probably pay off with KQ/QJ. Since I had no real definition of a tight range for him leading out for value was preferable but even for this guy a raise is simple something that crushes me or total fresh air.
