Default jumping rope

if you want a very very easy test to see if you are cardiovascularly fit, this is one for you.

try to jump rope for 10 minutes without stopping.

reply if you can do it or how long you went.

then we will discuss the multiple sport applications of this intense and effective cardio workout.

i know you are remarkable, but what is DDR?

i just thought this would be a good cardio effort that no one has really discussed. it also has a ton of sport specific benefits for people who can walk and chew gum at the same time. jumping rope btw makes me quickly question my ability to do most things athletic. J.

Umm... I don't think you even grasp why this sucks. Jumping rope has been discussed before and has a huge skill element.

People who have insanely high VO2 maxes but never jump rope will likely not be able to match the output of a chubby 7th grader who can't run an 8 minute mile but just finished his Jump Rope for heart month.

If you are gonna try to post "Advice", at least at a min make sure it doesn't outright suck.

Thremp is a bit rough, but yes, he's right. Jump rope has a lot of skill in it that is not necessarily all cardiovascular strength.

kyle,

that is part of my general point.

that it does have skill to it that you have to develop and that skill is very useful in applying to a ton of different sporting activities.

activities that we can very easily figure out that thremp does not participate in. such as actually working out.
kyle i am not sure why you always defend thremp's terrible tone and general rude behavior on here. why couldn't he just ignore my thread rather than derail it because it is an activity he doesn't/can't do??

anyway. i think it is a decent test of a number of things and will make you sweat. is that really so bad?

later. J.
