Ah the memories.

I [censored] up my A levels (got results last year). I got ABBC, but with even minimal more effort could've had AABB+.

I got a B in maths... one of my modules I got 13%. Yah... turns out the paper was basically on calculus and I didn't know any calculus. If I'd repeated the paper and got just 40% I'd have got an A. Unfortunately I decided my time would be better spent in the 6th form centre watching DVDs than repeating a maths module.

Oh and I also went from a pretty solid A at AS for chemistry (266/300) to a C.

Nice

I found it really hard to motivate myself when my uni offer (Comp. Science at Queen's Belfast) was only BBC. I should've moved across the water and applied to a more reputable uni =/

Oh well... GL/congrats to everyone else this year!

I attended 40% of 6th form and did no revision but managed BBCC.

Sucks though as it was v.close to AAB. meh.

I got 100% in my English paper which was niiiice! Sadly last years score dragged it down to a B.

I just did all my work in the study periods we got so outside of school I didn't have to do anything extra. They aren't that much harder academically if you have a strong brain and good teachers. Sucks if you get landed with a crappy teacher though

Got into Oxford (Magdalen) to study chemistry with 551/600 in chem, 425/600 in physics and 451/600 in further maths.

Don't think I would've got in with a B in physics so I am pretty lucky

A levels are the exams that the UK has to determine university places, I think the US equiv. are the SATs but i'm not sure. We sit them at age 17-18. People who stay in education after A-levels go on to study at degree level at a university (college).
