Default Elbow pains

I started lifting a year ago and was a weak/skinny before then. I've never worked out or actively played any sports besides some soccer every summer for fun.

Problem: about half a year into it - I start getting irritated elbows. The problem persists but I figrue it's just going to go away, it doesn't. Now it's gotten to a point where if I do almost anytghing involving my elbows they get really inflamed and I can feel a burning sensation for days to come, to a point where it doeson't let me fall asleep at times.

The inflammation is around the part tat sticks out on the inside of the elbow. I found this online:

http://orthopedics.about.com/gi/dynamic/...r/tennis_elbow/

Is that more or less what I should do?

I have a little experience in injuries, maybe I can help out. Sounds like it may be more severe than tennis elbow unless your exaggerating the pain level. Generally tennis elbow wouldn't keep you from falling asleep!

What exercises hurt your elbows specifically? Take your arms over your head, bend your elbows to the back of your shoulders...is it this that hurts?

How about when you throw something, does that hurt in the elbow?

Do both elbows hurt in pretty much the same way? Does one have a much higher pain level than the other?

Do you have access to someone who specializes in Active Release Technique in the area by any chance at all?

could be a joint problem.

Take a supplement called glucocymine it is an issue w/ your joints or ligaments.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin might be beneficial supplements it's true. I think first we need to make sure we have a proper diagnosis of the problem.

This sounds quite severe and may require something much more than just that combo.

There's obviously some movement you're doing that's causing this. What are you doing?

1. See a doctor.

2. When my elbows get sore, I drop triceps extensions and stuff like that. Good compound movements like close-grip benches and JM presses are better anyway. For me, it clears up pretty quickly. I don't know how you'll respond or it that's even an issue for you, of course.

As stated, see a doctor. Don't continue to aggravate it, you may be sorry later on in life...
