Default Losing $ cold calling small pp

Hi, I am losing $ when I cold call with small pp. For example, UTG+1 raises and I call with 55 on the button. Is this a fold with 100bb? My data is over 25k hands - I am not a big loser in this situation, but clearly losing. Any thoughts?

Not a fold on the button. You just need to win a few pots here and there when you don't flop a set.

actually I have the same problem but only calling raises from the blinds, everything lower than 99 is in red.

This probably is just because my sample is really small (11k) but I wonder if calling CO and BTN raises from the blinds with small PPs is profitable - LP raisers have a worse hand on average and they have position so they do not pay off that often when you hit a set. Is there something to it? Wouldn't it be better to say fold small PPs in the blinds 1/3 of the time, call 1/3 of the time and 3bet 1/3 of the time (all against players who raise lossly from LP)?

disagree, pretty sure you can play fit or fold in this spot for a positive expectation (this doesn't mean you should).

Well, I'm not even talking about floating people's CB's really. There will be spots where you are HU and flop will be 89T and the guy won't even CB his AK and you can take it down on the flop with a bet. And there'll be times when a blind will call and they both check to you on a Q74 flop and you can take it down with a bet.

i agree that these are profitable spots. what i meant to say is that it's possible to ignore these spots (fgators style) and still make a profit calling small pp in position just by set mining. not saying it makes any sense to play this way. just a semantics issue, i guess.
