against bestofiraq there is a very good chance you 97 is good right now as i have seen him stand pat very rough but since you're drawing so smooth i guess breaking can't be that bad, though depending on how he's been playing (which can vary) u might be better standing pat.

[/ QUOTE ] This is what I was going to say until I noticed that hero has seen all four 9s. That swings me toward actually believing bestofiraq, because while I have no doubt he'd play a 9 like this often, I can't say the same about Ts/Js, so I think we might not be good here. I don't think that standing pat is a bad play, but in this wacky situation of having all the 9s I think breaking may be better. If you stood pat and he checked to you on the river would you bet? While you're almost certain to have the best hand in that situation I also don't really see how he can call with a worse hand? I assume you're not folding if he were to continue betting after your pat? |
