Default NL 50, flopped 222 on a monotone board.

how was my river bet? i wanted to use it as a value/blocking bet incase he flopped a low flush:

With no stats or reads but given the way the hand played out I think it was your best option depending on your plan. Maybe bet around $18 but close enough. What is your plan if he raises you on the river though? Is he only raising with hand that beats you or is he most often bluffing? Do you often fold to reraised rivers? The thing with these kind of bets is if you do them enough people can catch on and raise with air on the river if you are folding too much allowing them to do this profitably.

You go from pot betting flop and turn to 3/5 pot bet on river. You need to be doing the same pattern with big flushes as well. Make sure in your hands you are not screaming "I am uncomfortable with strength of my hand" on the river by betting differently than you normally do. It sounds as though you normally would make a value bet the same way so that is good thing.
