.5/1 Straight flopped no redraws, 3way to turn on drawy board
SB shortstack is 55/0/.2
CO is 60/20/.86 Both opponents are pretty passive. I'm probably viewed as the more aggressive player at the table. 3 way to the turn and I have a straight with no redraws on a doubleflush board I get donked for half pot here with me and SB still has a chance to stick it in. Calling/evaluate river seems to suck given the 2 flush draws I won't really know where I'm at on the river given the number of cards that can make my hand trash. I don't think I can consider a fold against these guys. Shoving seemed like the best option, but I doubt even against a player like this I'm just against a naked flush draw. Pot Limit Omaha Cash Game $0.50/$1 Blinds 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $41.55 BB: $20.00 UTG: $92.30 CO: $90.70 Hero (BTN): $213.30 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG folds, CO calls $1.00, Hero raises to $4.50, SB calls $4.00, BB folds, CO calls $3.50 Flop: ($14.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $12.00, SB calls $12.00, CO calls $12.00 Turn: ($50.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, CO bets $27, Hero raises to $89 |

Re: .5/1 Straight flopped no redraws, 3way to turn on drawy board
putting it in on turn is fine. This will ensure that any worse straights, possible since you have two queens, will pay you off, and saves you from river decision where half the deck scares you.

Re: .5/1 Straight flopped no redraws, 3way to turn on drawy board
There's no reason to fold and there's no reason to flat call. No one's deep. You'll be getting too good of odds to fold river if you flat call, so that is out of the question. You are most likely ahead in this spot. You raised preflop then cont bet the flop. I wouldn't be surprised to find that CO has the j high straight with a flush draw. And CO has so little money that it doesn't matter at that point. Get it in, 3 way on the turn it's definitely +EV to stick it in.
I think this is totally standard. I wrote that jibberish because I think the questions dumb, do you really think it's smart to flatcall or fold the turn? This is one of those times it's okay to get it in with the bare straight given the action. |

Yeah, easy shove. You'll be up against something like the lower straight + one FD a lot.

The question is, was raising turn the best strategy?
