Aq in trouble
100BB effective, Villain is good reg
24/19/3 We tangle a lot and both got out of line the last months, toŽday we just play 3 orbits 4folds, Hero raises to 70 with AdQd and V calls. Flop: Qh8h6c H bets 111, V raises to 333, H calls planning to lead any non h turn and c/f to a h Turn Th 800 H checks and V bet 500 I somehow expecte him to bet bigger with his flush that hit. Does anyone raise over his bet, or is fold just standard. Anyone like a 3bet on flop. I felt like AQ would be the bottom of my hand doing this and not being a bluff. |

Re: Aq in trouble
Don't know about flop 3bet, makes sense. And I don't think you can fold to the shove, because he shouldn't have that much FE with a flush draw.
I think the turn is a call, and river is probably a fold. I don't think the bet sizing is off though; if you call the pot will be 1800 on the river with 1100 left. He doesn't have to bet bigger. |

Re: Aq in trouble
Call turn and reevaluate river is best now?
What are your reasons for 3bet/calling? |

Re: Aq in trouble
What is all this nonsense about calling flop raises oop with strong hands and then donking the turn or folding if one of many cards flops that completes a flush? I don't understand that.. It's SB VS BB. I shove the flop with 97, maybe even any flushdraw, many queens, any overpair, any 2pair, any set and sometimes even air or a hand 99-JJ. If you balance your 3bet's/Shoves I don't see a point to call the raise unless there is some metagaming involved. Playing in huge pots OOP with very insignificant information about villians hand range is not what I like to do frequently. He can easily bluff bet the turn or check behind. If you always play that way against me with TPTK I will never ever bet the turn with my flushdraw and always check behind, intending to check behind on the river if I improve to a pair, almost never bluff bet and value bet with my flushs. This way raising the Flop is very profitable against you. You are ultra transparent and I know how to outplay you.
Plus it's highly profitable to raise any 2 against you on that flop then just bet 100% of our range if the flush hits, stop bluffing the turn with most holdings and taking freecards if we haven't improved and you won't donk. Plus we can assume that you will never have a flushdraw if you donk the turn. |
