The reason that you didn't reraise preflop is to get a flop and flop action like this so that you can shove.

I don't think SB is re-raising preflop with any hand that includes a 3.

Good spot to not 4-bet preflop, you have position and are still committing a lot of chips to the pot.

Push, sometimes AA comes, but more often QQ or less

Thanks for the replies. It seems like everyone has pretty much the same opinion about this hand. That's also how I played it btw.

Just a couple of questions:

Why is disregarding villain's actions alltogether here the default play? I asume everyone noticed his preflop reraise (from SB) and the following bet/3bet on the flop. Do the mentioned actions really mean a hand range of something like >88/>AQ (even at NL100)?

I'm sorta new so my answer may not be the best but I may be first at 5:20am! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I think the disregard of his action is because if he really did do that with a hand involving either 3 or 5 (PP of either in fact) from the SB then in the long run he's going broke making such bad plays with such bad cards from such bad position. If he got insanely lucky, fine but it's not real likely and if you're going to be in a hand with a nincompoop, KK is a fine hand for you to have. Even if he had 3-5, you still have outs against his nincompoopery.

If he's NOT a nincompoop then the higher PP range, QQ-AA makes much more sense in the way he played it and he may actually thikn his QQ is good. He may also think - and be right - that his AA is good. That'll happen.
