Default Lost Packets On Stars

I have 100% connection strength on stars right now, but sometimes it goes to like 50 or 80. When I run a trace on stars about 20% of the packets going to my router's ip address are lost. I am able to stay on irc and yahoo and everything fine, though. What could be causing this, and how do I fix it? It only happens sometimes, but stars will freeze for like 20 seconds and I'll time out on some tables.

I noticed today that it's not that bad with one table. I opened up a bunch of ftp because stars only lets you have 2 play money tables open, and my connection % on stars immediately dropped to around 70-80 from 99.

It's annoying having it drop the connection several times in a session. It just started doing it two days ago and I haven't changed anything.
