Default Agreed to 6-way chop in live tournament

Live $500 tournament, 73 entrees, 6 players left. Blinds 4K/8K/1K. I have 75K, average stack is 122K. 1st prize $13,800, 2nd prize $7300. A deal is proposed whereby 4 players get an even chop of $5500, but the short stack gives money to the big stack. Everyone agrees to this, including me. I found the table was pretty soft and was having no problems. However, I thought the amount I was getting was worth it. Was this a bad deal for me?

I don't remember exactly, something like 4300 3rd, 3000 4th, 2500 5th, and 2100 6th. There were 2 above average stacks, one about average, one about like mine, and a short stack.

With an M of 4 your skill level will not overcome your chip disadvantage. Taking the avg payout is a good deal. Congrats on the score
