DJ Gallo on ESPN
Have you guys watched this guy on ESPNews's Daily A.M. Jump? WTF is wrong with this guy? I've seen a lot of cringe-worthy people on ESPN in my time (Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, etc.), but this guy tops them all. He's just flat-out uncomfortable to watch; he's like watching a stand-up comedian just completely bomb on stage. Being a high school teacher, this guy reminds me of the kind of kid who tries really hard to be funny but ends up failing miserably and gets beat up at the end of the day.
I've seen him 3 times so far, and I haven't so much as cracked a smile at any of his 'jokes' which are just beyond bad. Anyone actually like this guy? |

Re: DJ Gallo on ESPN
Some of his written stuff is amusing. Never seen him on TV.

Re: DJ Gallo on ESPN
His article last year on the Giants locker room was really good.

Re: DJ Gallo on ESPN
Hmm, well I haven't read any of his printed material, but it sounds like he should stick to that.
His on-air material is horrible. You can almost sense the ESPN anchors who interview him are cringing too. |

Re: DJ Gallo on ESPN
I've never seen him on air, but if you asked me what I'd expect him to be like, a bombing comedian would be my first thought. He pumps out some funny stuff here and there, but his ratio is pretty bad and most of his jokes fall way flat.
