Villain is 16.1/13.7/3.05. Folds to cbet is 80, att to steal is 30.
He's been 3-betting some of my steal attempts this session, but I've folded to every single one. I've seen him make some squeeze plays preflop. I've seen him "steal" from the BTN and push to a 3-bet. I've also seen him raise a dry Qhigh flop. Not much for reads with showdown info, but he seems standard taggish aggressive. Push if I was in the mood to gamble, fold if I felt variance averse at the moment.
If your push gets called you're like a little worse than 60/40 on the whole against sets/straights/2pair/flush draws. You naturally need some FE to make the push profitable, and I think you have it. He sounds fairly aggro, he must assume the flop didn't hit you, and could be raising hands like 8d9d/55//66/99 here to take the pot down easy. You are cbetting into 2 opponents, though, so that makes him slightly stronger. I wouldn't hate a push, I wouldn't hate a fold. I would hate a flat call obviously. |

At a certain point you need to come back at this guy, and I can think of a lot worse spots than this.....
Shove all day and not think twice |

What are you doing here with AA-JJ?

That depends a lot on how you are playing at the table, and what your image is here.....

I'd be all in with AA. People get creative and slowplay JJ-KK preflop in position to raise a raggy board often enough, and they won't be able to fold a big pair here.

I think you have plenty of FE against medium pairs overpairs alone to justify a shove.

This is a tougher spot that just saying big draw. I think his range here is draws/str8/set/2pr
And we are a dog vs most of his draws and he has odds to call an all in so we won't make him fold. I think I just pitch this if I am thinking straight. Unless you have a sick read that he does this with 55/66/99/TT of course. Then it's not such an easy pitch. |
