TT gets raised on the turn on a ragged board
Limit 1/2 Full Ring, Online
I am SB and have TT. Fairly but not overly loose player limps UTG, loose and aggressive MP3 limps, I decide to just complete though I think raising is a good alternative. 4 players see the flop 832 rainbow. I check with the intention of raising the LAG MP3. Now UTG bets, MP3 folds, I raise, BB folds, and UTG calls. Turn is another rag, there are no reasonable draws on the board and I bet. UTG raises. Should I call down??? |

Re: TT gets raised on the turn on a ragged board
raise pf. it's good if BB folds and you most certainly have the best hand. if there's a million limper sometimes i don't raise TT from the SB/BB, but even in that situation we have set value to raise. the reason i'll sometimes forego raising with a ton of callers is to control the pot(yes, i said control the pot size) and even moreso, to allow a flop checkraise and limit the field. none of that comes into play here, though. so you need to charge them to draw.
on the flop, the checkraise is fine but so is betting out. as for the turn, yes we need to be showing down here against a relative unknown. you say UTG is fairly loose, what we really need to know is how aggressive he is. if he's super passive he likely has a set or maybe a crazy two pair. against most i'm seeing a showdown, though. |

I'm 3-betting this turn A LOT.
