Yea, 4th was pretty much worst case scenario. Get out cheap.

Fourth is a fold. You could make a case for folding or limping on third.

Re: Is this standard? 2/4Stud/8
Really? I think it's either fold or raise, limping seems like an extremely weak play here. I used to dump big pairs like this all the time, but lately i feel more confident with them and they are, to me anyways, more profitable than most people on 2+2 think.

Re: Is this standard? 2/4Stud/8
I agree 3rd is a raise or fold. The last thing you want is all those guys to limp in behind you. I'm more apt to play this hand since it's 5-handed but I don't like that everyone has a baby in the door. I think a lot depends on how tight/loose the table's been playing.

Re: Is this standard? 2/4Stud/8
I'm not necessarily advocating a limp on third, but I think it has merit. The guys behind you probably aren't folding anything for $2 that they won't also fold for $1. You'd like to play cheaply so that you can get away from the hand more readily. You may be able to represent a low and buy a pot later on, which you couldn't really do if you raised with an Eight in the door.
