Two SCOTUS decisions
LA Times
- In a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court ruled that greenhouse gases were air pollutants under the Clean Air Act: [ QUOTE ] That 1970s measure says the EPA must regulate "any air pollutant" that is likely to endanger "public health or welfare." The law in turn defines public welfare to include effects on the climate or weather. "Because greenhouse gases fit well within the … act's capacious definition of 'air pollutant,' we hold that EPA has the statutory authority to regulate the emission of such gases from new motor vehicles," [/ QUOTE ] - Also today, the Supreme Court declined to review the appeals of Guantanamo detainees. The majority said that they had not exhaused all legal appeals, indicating they might hear the case later. So these guys get to sit in Gitmo for 5 more years when we already know the issues today. Great. |

It is Official.....Water Vapor is Polution
Water vapor is the most common and most influential greenhouse gas despite all the hype CO2 gets.
It is official... Saunas and hot tubs now fall under the jurisdiction of the EPA. Even hot showers are legally a form of polution. What a bunch of nitwits. We need to impeach some supreme court justices.... |

Re: Two SCOTUS decisions
The first line: "The Supreme Court rejected the Bush administration's policy of inaction on global warming"
LOL, no media bias there! |
