Default maerliu

maerliu must be the biggest hit and run artist on FTP, saw her enter PLO at a table with Kaibuxxe and other players at least 5x on 08-04-07 with a minimum buy-in, she'd double her money and run.
I can't understand why the other players even entertain this, I'd sit-out the moment she appears and give her no action at all.

Besides the slight annoyance, where's the problem with "hit and run artists" ? It's not like they have an extra edge or something...

Shortstacking gives a big edge in PLO unless there's a big fish with a deep stack or you are the best player in the game.

More typically it lets a bad player go from having a big -EV to a small one.

So to the extent that hit-and-running is actually just a way of keeping a short stack (which it is for maerilu), it does give him an advantage.

But its more +EV for the good players having shortstackers in the game than if they didnt play at all.

FWIW EatMyAcesSucka does the same thing constantly, and was up about a half mil last month risking only 8k at a time. It's +EV for GOOD shortstackers to do it, but most shortstackers are dumb/bad/breakeven.

Also, shortstacking ruins games blahblahblah, but as long as FTP allows it they're doing nothing wrong.
