Default 30/60 4 handed JTo

30/60 4 handed game with 3 "regulars". I am running the table over. I am up about 25 bets in about 25 hands.

I am UTG with JTo

BTN is a 31/22/1.65 over 270 hands
SB is a 43.5/18.9/1.18 over 300 hands
BB is a 30/23.2/2.46 over 1000 hands
I raise first in, everyone calls.

Notes on SB are: river raise w/ TP, retard chase. call turn raise on AT8x board with J7o. (He is the reason i'm in the game.)

the BB will take shots at me since he knows I am a TAG, we have a little history.

flop: J 3 5 rainbow

SB leads, BB raises, you...?

3bet? fold? Call?

I'd 3bet. But I'd probably fold this preflop (I think it's close but in general I'd think you're getting 3bet a fair amount here).

You've put yourself in an awkward position having played such a crappy hand in a crappy position. You could be best; You might not be. You also have an unknown behind you.

Fold is safest play.

Against this lineup I would normally fold preflop but it's close and I think your table image swings this to a raise. I would 3bet the flop.

well he has JTo in the cutoff. given he is owning the table i would still raise this hand preflop.

i dont think so. BB's range is very wide and filled with many worse hands. SB's range is even wider.

sigh, is it that hard to read the post, or is button "UTG" in a 3-handed game too?

You're being all condescending, but regardless of semantics, raising JTo from the CO in this spot is a very questionable situation. You've got a 3bet happy Button, a LAGGY SB, a LAGGY BB. Little chance of stealing the blinds outright. A hand with no showdown value and questionable overall "value," and a table who will, if not now, be shortly looking to start fighting back. It's rare that a table with players like this just rolls over and dies just because you raised preflop 4-handed, and it's equally rare that this hand is going to be netting you much, if any, profit here.

Yikes.

I folded to the flop raise, action on the turn was check-call a blank and check-check a blank river. SB had 66, BB had 46o.

I agonized over raising and folding on the flop thinking that the BB was trying to push me out to iso the SB but while also knowing that I knew this.

Maybe fold pre-flop is the answer.
