Default Small Blind Play

Greetings to the Forum.
This is my first post. I play $2/$4 and $4/$8 Limit HE at a local Indian B&M casino. I've read Sklansky's SSHE and Jones's Low Limit HE books but I'm still wondering if I'm playing properly from the SB and even from the BB in a $4/$8 1/2 Kill Game ($6/$12). In the SB I will routinely fold hands like J2os, K5, two rags under T, etc. I've gotten looks from other players (I play 2-4 days per week) because I will fold a hand in a multi-way pot (anywhere from 5-9 players) while in the BB in a Kill pot ("It's just $2 more") holding cards like 83os. So I'm wondering should I really stick to pot odds in these situations or a mixture of odds and the cards?
Thanks

No, you're correct to fold those hands.

Throw the Jones book away. Listening to anything in there is going to cost you a ton of money. SSHE is really all you need at this point.

Your making the right decision to throw away those hands.

You have to keep in mind, that most of your opponents at those levels, are playing terribly, so playing like them is a terrible mistake.

Just keep chucken' 'em back to the dealer and congratulate yourself for not wasting chips. If you're feeling frisky play suited connectors down to 64s, unsuited connectors down to 97o, and Kxs or Qxs. But it sounds like you're well disciplined and good and tight PF.

OP, the only problem this can create (and it often does so for me) is a squeaky tight table image. That in and of itself is not a problem, but just realize that if you fold in the BB for 2 bucks twice in a row, the next time you raise UTG with aces you may not quite get the action you're hoping for

Thanks everyone for the advice. I understand the danger of being too tight, but you'd be amazed how little the average player pays attention or cares that you raised. My best example is raising in EP with KK and getting called by an occasional player after he comments aloud "He hasn't played in awhile...I call".
Thanks Again

Most people would say that 1st edition was horrible, 2nd was ok, and 3rd is good.

But when it comes to limit hold'em books I'll perfectly fine with trusting Ed Miller's opinion blindly.

Are there substantial differences between the editions? I read the first one like 3 years ago and haven't seen the others.
